How I work

  • Domain-driven design and single responsibility

    Model the domain first, give each module one reason to change, and keep business rules out of controllers and database code.

  • Privacy by design

    Collect the minimum, decide retention and access before the first table exists, and log who saw what. Scout keeps no personal data and deletes chats 24 hours after the last message.

  • Evaluate before trusting a model

    Build the test set before the feature: documented cases with known answers, run on every change to prompts, sources or models.

  • Written first

    Decisions, designs and status go in writing first, so a remote team and my future self can check them. The case studies on this site are written the same way.

Remote-ready

  • Time zone: WAT (UTC+1). Full overlap with European working hours and mornings with the US East Coast, and I adjust my hours to work well with teams in other time zones.

Building in regulated environments

I build in regulated environments. My current work covers systems that handle sensitive personal data, with role-based access control, audit trails, biometric integrations, ISO-aligned principles, and NDPR and GDPR obligations. At Japahub, checking claims against official registers is the same discipline as KYC.
